Daly Makes Ace En Route to Top-10 Finish

There’s never a dull moment with John Daly.

Playing in the final round at the PGA Tour Champions Chubb Classic, Daly was working his way towards a respectable top-10 finish when the two-time major champion caught lightning in a bottle on the par-3 16th hole.

Joe Durant was running away with the tournament by late Sunday afternoon, but Daly’s perfectly struck short iron took a perfect bounce and headed straight for the center of the cup.

Daly would finish the day at 5-under par and 13-under par for the tournament, which was good enough for a solo eighth place finish, six shots back of Durant.
