JT Says “Zero Percent Chance” He Watches Tiger Vs. Phil

You can count Justin Thomas among the number of folks who won’t be shelling out for “The Match,” the made-for-television, one-on-one, $9 million winner-take-all match between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods on Thanksgiving weekend.

Despite the fanfare surrounding the event, many golf fans have levied their concern about the spectacle taking away from their traditional Thanksgiving weekend goings-on, most notably eating turkey and watching football.

Thomas echoed that popular sentiment during a Twitter question and answer during his flight to New York City over the weekend. Asked who’s he taking to win the pay-per-view event and whether or not he’d order it, JT was emphatic in his answer.

“Love TW and Phil to death… but there’s a 0% chance I order that. I’ll be watching football!” Thomas wrote.

The match, which has been confirmed to be played on November 23, at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas will go up against a small slate of Friday night college football.

B/R Live and DirecTV will be broadcasting pay-per-view coverage of the match. The first official promo video was released last week.
