Rare Eagle at the Masters; Sergio, Rose Lead

It was moving day at the Masters and some of the world’s best players took full advantage of the perfect weather on Saturday at Augusta. One such person was Kevin Chappell who provided this early highlight reel shot.

The 30 year-old from California was even par for the day when he painted a drive down the middle of the fairway on the par-4 seventh hole. From 131 yards out, Chappell had his ball on a string when holed this wedge shot out for a rare eagle. It fact, it was only the fifth eagle recorded there. He ended up shooting 70, leaving him at one-over overall and in a tie for 17th. However, he will collect a couple Masters-etched crystal goblets for the effort.

Some of the biggest names in the game also climbed their way up the leaderboard during round three. Justin Rose put together a sparkling back nine making six birdies en route to a five-under 67, the best round of the day. He’s tied for the lead at six-under with Sergio Garcia who shot a two-under 70, his third consecutive round under par.

Right on their heels is a hungry Rickie Fowler and, like clockwork, Jordan Spieth, who was 10 back after day one. He made a run of his own on Saturday shooting four-under 68 leaving him two shots off the lead.

The Masters is set up for another memorable Sunday.

Here’s a look at the juicy leaderboard through three rounds:
