Kid Rock’s Shank Spills Fan’s Beer

Kid Rock, whose government name is Bob Ritchie, is best known worldwide for his headbanging rock and roll music, but recently, the music star has been bitten by the golf bug.

Between tour stops and sponsored cruises, Ritchie can likely be found on the golf course, most notably at The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Florida, the home course of multiple Tour pros in the area.

Always one to revel in theatrics, Ritchie made his first-ever hole-in-one in the presence of Jack Nicklaus, acing the par-3 second hole at The Bear’s Club.

While that accomplishment will go into his personal highlight reel Hall of Fame, what Ritchie did on Saturday at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf, a PGA Tour Champions event at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri, will likely make its way onto another golf reel of which Ritchie is a part.

Facing an innocuous greenside chip shot, Ritchie introduced the hosel of his club to his golf ball and a nearby fan’s beer was nearly a catastrophic victim.

The shank rattled some liquid loose from the female fan’s cup, but like any good golf fan, she was able to hold on to the lion’s share of her libation.

That’s something Kid Rock can appreciate.
