No Tickets To Be Sold For Tiger-Phil Money Match

The much-anticipated Tiger Woods vs. Phil Mickelson $9 million winner-take-all pay-per-view match was already an exercise in exclusivity, pitting two of the richest men in the sport competing at one of the most exclusive golf courses in the country.

Now, according to Brian Hurlburt of Las Vegas Review-Journal, it appears the only way golf fans will be able to view the Thanksgiving weekend spectacle will be via the various pay-per-view options as there will be no public tickets sold. Spectators on the ground at Shadow Creek will be sponsors and VIP guests.

The LVRJ report also stated that there wouldn’t be under the lights either, as some hoped it would be.

The November 23 match will be available to be viewed on B/R Live, AT&T’s DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, and other on-demand services. Pay-per-view pricing has not been released. What “The Match” is doing right is putting on an HBO Sports’ “24/7” series, which will document Woods and Mickelson ahead of the match.
