BBC’s Peter Alliss at His Best at Masters

Check, check, is this mic on?

Famed BBC golf commentator Peter Alliss’ mic was on air during the conclusion of the 2017 Masters when he called the dramatic finish and he commented on the attired of Sergio Garcia’s fiancée. As Garcia’s final putt dropped to seal his first major victory, audio of Alliss was picked up saying that Garcia’s fiancée Angela Akins was wearing “the shortest skirt in the country.”

Here is the barely audible clip when he says it at the very end. We suggest turning up the volume:

While our eyes immediately focus on Matt Kuchar cheering on Garcia directly behind Atkins, you can clearly see she is wearing a white hat – and a blue skirt. However, whether it’s too short or long is out of our jurisdiction.

To add insult to injury, in another video the same hot mic picked up this juicy nugget when Alliss can be heard saying, “there will be some fun in the hotel tonight!”
