The Feherty Premier With Phil Looks Outstanding

David Feherty is back for another season of his brilliant talk show Feherty and his first guest is so big, he needed two episodes to squeeze him in. Phil Mickelson will be there in all his leather jacket glory dishing out hit after hit in what should an interview for the ages.

On Tuesday, Golf Channel shared a sneak peek of the episode where Phil shares a hilarious story from the 2002 Ryder Cup where he was playing alternate shot with David Toms. They were up in the match, but Phil didn’t care. After hitting “the most majestic three-wood” into a 14-yard wide fairway, Toms “fat blocks” one into the bunker. Then Phil pulls off a ridiculous out to four feet.

That’s when Toms asked Lefty what he thought about which way the putt would break, and he gave him the most Phil answer ever: “‘What do I think?’ I said, ‘Don’t f#@% this one up too!’ and walked off the green.”

Phil also recounts the ridiculous 6-iron he pulled off on the 13th hole from the pine straw during the 2010 Masters. According to him, it was the “percentage play.”

You can catch part 1 of Phil’s whole interview on Golf Channel March 6 at 9 p.m. ET and part 2 the following Monday, same time, same place.
