The most common complaint around New York sporting events is the terrible traffic that seems to surround the area.
On Friday at the PGA Championship, which is being contested in Farmington, New York on Long Island, a lesser-known European Tour pro made a few American friends when he stepped up and offered some stranded golf fans a ride in his tournament-provided courtesy car.
Joost Luiten was on his way to Bethpage Black to compete in his second round when he heard a knock on the window of his car. NBC Sports’ Jimmy Roberts relayed the story.

Luiten responded to Roberts’ tweet saying he was happy to help.

Luiten made the cut on the number and fired a third-round 77 to fall into a tie for 79th. He’ll play his final round alongside Max Homa.
