Rickie Hits Awesome Driver Off The Deck at BMW

The reason we love professional golf so much is the opportunity to see the guys on Tour hit shots we can only dream of pulling off. While a day on site at any PGA Tour event will offer countless examples of the pros making the seemingly impossible look routine, Saturday at Conway Farms for the BMW Championship gave us one of the most difficult shots in golf from one of the most popular players on the planet.

Rickie Fowler was stuck in neutral following an unbelievable eagle on the first hole and looking to jumpstart his round to keep pace with the leaders. Facing a 254-yard shot over water, uphill and into the wind into the par-5 8th hole, Fowler pulled out his Cobra driver and floated one onto the green.

Great shot aside, Fowler went on to three-putt for his par five. He played the rest of his round 1-over par, posting a 1-under par 70 to fall five shots back of 54-hole leader Marc Leishman at the end of the day.

Here’s the complete third-round highlight package from PGATour.com.
