Tiger Uses Foot Wedge During Match Play Practice Round

Tiger Woods is able to do things with and to a golf ball that many of us can only dream of, but on Monday at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, Tiger proved that there are actually things that weekend hackers have perfected that he struggles to do.

In one of the most relatable videos we’ve ever seen, Tiger walks up to a ball he hit into the rough at Austin Country Club and employs many golfers’ favorite 15th club —the foot wedge – to get a better lie in the fairway.

While it was a practice round with nothing on the line, it was still somewhat shocking to see the world’s best knocking around his golf ball with his feet. Some fans on social media took the opportunity to point out that Tiger’s foot wedge technique is lacking.

While Tiger was relatable to weekend hackers in one clip, another video surfaced from his practice round on Monday that swung the pendulum to the other end of the spectrum.

Playing alongside Justin Thomas, the two attempted a short-sided bunker shot to a tee on the green that even the best players in the world struggle to hit it close to, Woods hit it off the tee on his second attempt.
