Star-Studded Feature Groups On PGA TOUR LIVE

The unofficial “official” start to the 2016-17 PGA Tour season comes this week at Torrey Pines in San Diego. With one of the strongest fields of the year assembled, as well as the buzz that surrounds the featured groups, there’s no better time to sign up for PGA TOUR LIVE to get exclusive coverage of the game’s biggest stars before the television broadcast window begins.

The Farmers Insurance Open will be contested on two courses on the Torrey Pines property. The recently-renovated North Course will provide somewhat of a respite for players who will have to navigate 54 holes on the mammoth South Course should they want to hoist the trophy on Sunday evening. The 7,600-yard South Course is the longest course on the PGA Tour and will play even longer thanks to some poor weather in the area prior to the tournament starting.

This first two rounds of the Farmers Insurance Open will be live streamed on PGA TOUR LIVE and showcase the likes of seven-time tournament champion Tiger Woods, three-time champion Phil Mickelson, two-time champion Brandt Snedeker as well as 2015 champ Jason Day.

Trying to join those players as winners of one of the Tour’s biggest events and also playing in featured groups are Justin Rose, Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler, Jimmy Walker, Hideki Matsuyama, Daniel Berger, Emiliano Grillo and Dustin Johnson. Featured hole coverage will take over the stream at 3 p.m. EST when the television window opens on Golf Channel.

Here is PGA Tour Live’s schedule for Thursday and Friday at Torrey.

Last year’s Farmers was won in impressive fashion by Brandt Snedeker. The Vanderbilt product shot what many consider to be the round of the year, a Sunday 69, in Open Championship-like conditions. His 3-under par round was the best in the field by three shots and allowed him to come from six shots back to edge K.J. Choi by a stroke.
