Tools: Fowler’s Winning Clubs At Waste Management

Rickie Fowler rode out a potentially disastrous final round at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in adverse weather conditions to capture his fifth PGA Tour title and his first since the 2017 Honda Classic.

Fowler saw his lead reach as many as five strokes over the field on the back nine on Sunday only to see it disappear. However, a gutsy closing stretch that included a pair of birdies and a few up-and-downs earned him the two-stroke victory.

Fowler recently made two important switches in equipment, both to his driver and his golf ball.

While Rickie’s new driver had him third in the field in strokes gained: off the tee, it was his trusty Scotty Cameron putter that proved to be the difference around TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course. Fowler picked up more than 9.5 strokes on the field on the greens, including more than a third of that total during the final round.
