Adam Long, a 31-year-old PGA Tour rookie, captured his first career PGA Tour victory on Sunday at The Desert Classic by sinking a clutch 14-foot birdie putt for the win.
In just his sixth PGA Tour start, Long chased down and stole the trophy out of the hands of one of the greatest players to ever play the game — Phil Mickelson — as well as Adam Hadwin who held the tournament lead for most of the day.

Ranking ninth in the field in strokes gained: putting over his two rounds at the Stadium Course, Long picked up a chunk of his +2.886 strokes on the tournament-winning putt on the 18th hole.
