Tools: Phil Captures PGA Tour Win No. 44 At Pebble

Phil Mickelson’s 44th career PGA Tour victory came at the same event as four of his other wins, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Monday. Holding a three-shot lead with two holes to play, Mickelson stuffed a tee shot on the par-3 17th and made a birdie on the par-5 18th to outrun Paul Casey.

Mickelson’s 7-under par final round was the best round of the day — matched by Kevin Streelman — and featured seven birdies against no bogeys. Now with 44 wins on the PGA Tour, Mickelson is only one behind Walter Hagen for eighth-most all-time.

After trying out the new Callaway Epic Flash in Phoenix, Mickelson went back to his Rogue Sub Zero driver at the Clambake, and it paid off.
