Whee Kim’s Ace Wins Him a $100,000 BMW

Not all holes-in-one are created equally. Whee Kim found the bottom of the cup on the par-3 15th hole during the third round of the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur.

Coming into the hole 1-under par for his round and 2-under par for the event, Kim jarred a mid-iron from 199 yards. His prize? A 1 on the scorecard and the keys to a BMW 740Le xDrive Hybrid, which is valued at more than $100,000, according to GuideAutoWeb.com

Not bad for one swing of the club.

Kim’s ace moved him to 4-under par for the event, but he gave two strokes back coming in. He currently sits in a tie for 51st place, a whopping 19 shots behind 54-hole leader Pat Perez who shot rounds of 66-65-64 to open up a four-stroke advantage over Xander Schauffele.

Two-time defending champion Justin Thomas shot a 3-under par 69 on Saturday to move into a tie for 24th place.

Here are the third round highlights from the PGA Tour’s Malaysian stop.
