HARTFORD, CONN., OCT. 6 – BACK9NETWORK, the 24/7 golf lifestyle network, debuted on DIRECTV by leading off its first week of programming with guests that included actor/comedian Bill Murray, three-time Major Winner Padraig Harrington, former PGA Tour player and 2008 Ryder Cup Captain Paul Azinger and University of Connecticut Men’s Basketball Coach Kevin Ollie. The network launchedlast Monday in 20M homes on DIRECTV, channel 262 at Noon ET with the premiere of studio show “The Turn”, with a re-air at 7 PM, the debut of “Off Par” at 8 PM ET and “The Clubhouse” at 10 PM ET.
Along with its signature daily studio shows, the network also debuted three 30-minute original primetime series; “Golf Treasures” (Monday at 9 PM ET), “AHMAD RASHAD” (Tuesday at 9 PM ET), and “Ball Hogs” (Wednesday at 9 PM ET).
In addition to Azinger, Harrington and Murray, BACK9NETWORK hosts were joined by Open Championship winner Stewart Cink, sportscasters Gary McCord and James Brown, former PGA of America President Jim Remy, Rap Artist Mike Stud, actor/comedian Lenny Clarke, business analyst Brian Sozzi, and season one winner of NBC’s “The Voice” Javier Colon.

Azinger detailed all things Ryder Cup including Europe’s strategy, the role the PGA of America currently plays, and his thoughts on captaining the 2016 team.
Hosts from BACK9NETWORK’s flagship hour of golf, pop culture, debate and entertainment on “The Turn” were joined by Ollie, as he talked about his NCAA Men’s National Championship basketball team, his dream foursome, and also competed in a chip-off against network hosts Shane Bacon and Lou Holder.
The network’s primetime lineup was headlined by the debut of “AHMAD RASHAD” which premiered Tuesday at 9 PM ET with special guest actor/comedian Bill Murray. The pair took to the miniature golf course for an unconventional interview, in which Murray revealed where his love for the game originated, and how he originally taught Rashad to play golf.
