With two courses that have both played host to a number of championship tournaments over the years, Winged Foot C.C. is a no brainer for one of the best courses in N.Y. The courses, designed by A. W. Tillinghast in the early 1920s, has been the site of the U.S. Open the 3rd most of any course, and is set to return in 2020. While the West Course receives a bulk of the praise, the East Course is no slouch, which is why Winged Foot is the only club to have each of their courses ranked in the top 100 worldwide.
