Tools: Spieth’s Winning Clubs at The Open

 

Jordan Spieth captured the third leg of the career grand slam on Sunday at Royal Birkdale by winning The Open Championship.The 23-year-old Texan carried a three-shot lead into the final round and despite all of the ups and downs that Sunday at The Open presented, he was able to defeat Matt Kuchar by the same margin.

Although Spieth is best known for his prowess on the greens, it’s been his ballstriking that has kept his game afloat most of this season. However, Old Faithful came back and got hot down the stretch as Spieth holed putt after putt over the last six holes, earning him the Claret Jug.
